For any Questions you do not see addressed below, please email queensmarathon@qdrunners.org

Q: Will I be able to track athletes live?

A: Yes, Elitefeats will be providing live tracking on the day of the race.

Q: What’s the best form of Transportation to get to the Starting Area?

A: Take the local Flushing-bound 7 train to the Mets-Willets Point station. Walk down the wooden ramp. At the end of the ramp, make a right towards the Unisphere where the starting area will be.

Q: How long can I expect to receive my results?

A: Thanks to Elitefeats, the moment you cross the Finish Line! You will receive a text message and/or email, depending on the options you choose when signing up for the race.

Q: I didn’t receive my confirmation email, how do I get it?

A: Go to the Elitefeats Race Link and select “Resend Confirmation”.

Q: What’s the course like? Hilly? Flat? Fast?

A: There are only a handful of 90 degree turns and while not completely flat, the elevation ranges from 13 to 31 Feet! The only “hills” are overpasses with minimal incline. The Course is rated the #3 Fastest Marathon Course in the State of New York.

Q: Can I defer my entry to 2022?

A: While there are no Race Refunds, purchasing QDR Member Plus+ allows for a Race Deferral for the 2022 Queens Marathon while securing Queens Distance Runners Member Plus+ Benefits.

Q: While there are pace teams, can I bring a friend to jump in and run some of the course with me?

A: Absolutely not, we will have volunteers ensuring that everyone on the course is an official registrant or pacer of the Queens Marathon. All pacers will start with the general field and will be registered through our Pace Team. If anyone is caught running alongside a runner that is not registered, they will not receive an official result from the 2021 Queens Marathon and QDR Half Marathon.

Q: Will there be race-day packet pickup?

A: While there will be Race-Day Packet Pickup at 6:30AM, it is encouraged that Marathoners pick up Marathon Bibs and #itsinqueens Goodie Bags on Thursday, Friday or Saturday to avoid the Race-Morning Lines.

Q: Will there be hydration stops along the course?

A: We are proud to inform you that 24 of your 26.2 Miles will have a water station! Since there are 4 water stations and 4 loops, we will make sure you are well hydrated! There will be Gatorade at all tables and there will be a nutrition table at the station closest to the Start/Finish Line.

Q: Is there a bag check?

A: Yes, at the Festival Area!

Q: What if it rains on race day?

A: Races will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, routes may be altered and we will notify you of delays. Races will be canceled only if absolutely necessary for the safety of participants, volunteers and event staff. In this case, there will be no refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk. We encourage you to check our race emails, Facebook, and Instagram throughout the weekend for the latest information.

Q: Will there be restrooms?

A: Of course. There will be portable toilets and NYC Park restrooms near the course

Q: Can I use a baby jogger, roller blades, scooter, or bike?

A: No. These items are all strictly prohibited from the course.

Q: Can I use headphones or earbuds?

A: We highly recommend that you do not run our races with headphones so that you are better able to hear runners approaching to pass, as well as hear safety announcements or emergency vehicles on the course.

Q: Can I volunteer to help on event weekend?

A: Yes! Here is the Volunteer Link! There are volunteer positions for every type of person, whether you want to be stationed along one of the race courses or behind the scenes. It’s also a great way for individuals, families, clubs, and other groups to get involved and support the community. We will have volunteer shifts posted as we get through to the New Year.
